Welcome to the second edition of Hunter Disability Magazine, published by the Newcastle Herald on behalf of Australian Community Media.

Hunter Disability Magazine provides people living with a disability in the Hunter information about the latest products, services, technology aids and equipment on the market, as well as information about service providers.
It also serves to inform and inspire our community and particularly those living with disability.
Gracing our cover in this second edition is champion paralympian Lauren Parker.
Named Newcastle's Young Citizen of the Year for 2022, Lauren overcame a life-changing accident four years ago to win silver at the Tokyo Paralympics last year.
She takes great pride in the fact that her story inspires so many people.
"It makes me feel good if I'm making a difference in other people's lives from my own story," she explain in our cover story on Page 10.
As Newcastle Herald is the Voice of the Hunter, so too Hunter Disability Magazine provides a voice for people of the Hunter living with disability.
